PRESS RELEASE PRO CHARTER LANDING INCIDENT AT KENNETH KAUNDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Monday 25th August 2025 – At 11:30 hours today, a Pro Charter flight originating from Jeki Landing Strip in Lower Zambezi experienced a landing gear malfunction during its approach to Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA).
The aircraft executed a belly landing and came to a controlled stop on the runway. Emergency response teams were immediately deployed and swiftly contained the situation. We are pleased to confirm that all passengers and crew disembarked safely, and no injuries were reported.
As a precautionary measure, and as a normal aviation practice, limited number of flights were temporarily rerouted while the aircraft was secured and safely moved. Full operations at KKIA resumed within stipulated recovery period
