Mrs. Maggie Banda Kaunda

Deputy Managing Director

Mrs. Maggie Banda Kaunda is a legal practitioner with over 16 years’ experience. She obtained her undergraduate Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Zambia Great East Road Campus in 2004 and her Legal Practitioner’s Qualifying Exams (Zambia Bar Exam) Certificate in 2005. She holds a postgraduate degree in Business Law from the University of Cumbria and has qualifications in Legislative Drafting. She has experience in Corporate Governance and Corporate Law having worked in the corporate sector specifically State-Owned Enterprises as Company Secretary for over 10 years. She is a qualified Arbitrator, a qualified Commercial and Court Annexed Mediator as well as a Trade Policy and Law Expert having obtained Postgraduate diplomas in Trade Policy and Law from the University of Lund in collaboration with the Trade Policy Training Centre Africa (TRAPCA). She is currently Board Chairperson of the Zambia State Insurance Pension Trust Fund. Her off duty activities include reading and baking.


Mr. Azzaam Bvulani

Director of Airport Services

Mr Azzaam Bvulani brings proven international leadership and corporate development expertise in complex global business environments, having worked in diverse, matrixed, multi-cultural blue-chip organisations in various sectors including Information Technology, Telecommunications, Management Consulting, and Integrated Facilities Management.

Azzaam has worked in key commercial leadership roles including: General and Operations Management, Strategy and Business Development, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Business Transformation / Re-Engineering.

Azzaam holds an MBA in Strategy, Technology Management, and Banking and Finance, a Postgraduate Accounting Diploma and a Bachelor of Engineering ‘BEng. Honours’ degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Azzaam also adds ‘polyglot’ to his skills set, being adept in English, Spanish and French.


Ms. Gillian Mazimba

Director Finance

Gillian Mazimba is a Chartered Accountant by Profession. A Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), she has almost 20 years experience in Finance with technical competencies in Financial Management, Financial Reporting, Treasury Management and Credit Management. Gillian holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Herriot Watt University (UK) and an MBA with Specialism in Strategic Planning also from Herriot Watt University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Studies – Finance from Greenwich University as well as ACCA and AAT professional qualifications from the UK. Gillian also sits on the Finance & Administration Board Committee of Competition Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).


Mr. Brian Chintu ACCA, AZICA

Director Commercial Services

Mr. Brian Chintu is a qualified and experienced Finance and Investments professional with vast experience in management of assorted investment portfolios.

He has over eighteen (18) years working experience in Finance and Investments, developing strategies and managing discretionary and non-discretionary portfolios, investing in money market, equity, property and mutual funds.

Brian comes with a wealth of experience in company valuations, due diligence reviews, portfolio restructuring strategies, capital raising as well as experience in an assortment of residential and commercial real estate developments. He also has strong skills in business strategy formulation, analysis and strategy implementation. Before joining Zambia Airports Corporation, Brian worked as Chief Investment Officer at Longhorn Associates.

Brian is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), holds a NATech (National Accounting Technician) qualification and is a member of both the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Eng. Ariel Phiri

Director Air Navigation Services

Eng. Ariel Henry Phiri is a qualified Aviation Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer, with more than 30 years’ experience. He has experience in Project Management, Information Technology Management, Aviation Management, Radio Maintenance Engineering, and IT Policy, Regulation and Management. He is a Certified Mini-MBA Strategic Project Management Professional (SPMP) and has an IT Business Manager Certification (ITBMC). Ariel holds a Master of Engineering in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, both from the University of Zambia. He also holds a Diploma in Aviation Electronics Engineering from Zambia Air Service Training Institute (ZASTI). He is an active member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), where he is Vice Chairperson of the Zambia Section. He is also a Fellow in the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ), where he serves as Interim Chairperson of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Section (EEES). Ariel is an avid farmer with interest in crop and poultry. He also volunteers in Information Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) activities.

Mr Cosam Ngoma

Director Corporate Strategy and Planning

Mr Cosam Ngoma has over 13 years of combined professional experience in strategy, governance, audit and risk management. He invested the formative years of his career in audit and assurance at Deloitte & Touche. Cosam desires for a fast-paced, complex and demanding work environment that offers exceptional opportunities to understand and contribute to national economic development. With this burning desire, Cosam joined the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) where he subsequently served as Manager Risk & Assurance – a function he helped establish. Before his appointment as Director Corporate Strategy & Planning at Zambia Airports Corporation Limited, Cosam served as Director Strategy & Policy Research and Director Internal Audit & Risk at Zambia Development Agency.

Cosam also sits on the Audit & Risk Committees for the Ministry of Finance, Higher Education Loans & Scholarships Board (HELSB), and Zambia Railways Limited; and the Strategy Committee at LuSE and Ad Hoc Strategy Development Committees at HELSB, NAPSA and ZDA. Further, Cosam is a member of the Board of the Institute of Risk Management Zambia.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy [BACC], Certified Internal Auditor [CIA], Certified Information Systems Auditor [CISA], Certification in Risk Management Assurance [CRMA], Association of Certified Chartered Accountants [ACCA], Certified Risk Analyst [CRA] and a Master of Business Administration [MBA]. He is a fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants, The Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants and Institute of Risk Management Zambia.

His main motivation for a corporate life is to develop credible and high-level energy leadership that delivers value for organisational and individual success.



Dr Martin L. Chasha

Director Human Resource

Martin L. Chasha (Dr) has over 15 years experience in Human Resource function having started his career at Zambian Breweries as a Graduate Management Trainee and later held various Human Resource positions. He subsequently worked as Head Human Resource at Cavmont Bank Ltd and at Investrust Bank Plc, prior to joining Bank of Zambia as Assistant Director Human Resource.

He is a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management and a member of the Economics Association of Zambia. He possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Master’s in Strategic Planning and Master’s and Doctorate in Business Administration.


Mrs Shubayi Chatora Kalumba

Corporation Secretary

Mrs. Shubayi Chatora Kalumba is a qualified Legal Practitioner with over 10 years’ experience in the field of law. She began her career working as an associate Legal Practitioner for a private law firm known as Lloyd Jones and Collins in Lusaka. She holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law from the University of Zambia. Having worked as Legal Counsel for Zambia Airports Corporation Limited for over seven (7) years, Mrs. Kalumba has experience in litigation as well as Corporate Governance matters. While serving as Legal Counsel for Zambia Airports Corporation Limited, she acted as Corporation Secretary at various intervals. Her off-duty activities include swimming, playing netball and gardening.
