ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (02) - KKIA
The Electrical Technician is responsible for electrical power distribution design, planning, monitoring, supervise and participate in the repairs and maintenance of all electrical power and supply in substations, terminal buildings and airfield.
Key Performance Areas
- Implement all maintenance schedules for the optimum performance of the electrical power supply, Equipment for Terminal, Airfield and Substations
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
- Inspect all electrical apparatus for optimum serviceability.
- Supervise and participate in the diagnosis, repair, calibration& adjustment according to Annex 14 and testing of all electrical apparatus and auxiliary facilities of transformers, standby generators, high and medium voltage panels, 11KV ring network, and Substation Buildings, escalators, elevators, baggage carousels, check-in counters, booster/submersible pumps, apron flood lights, car park/street lighting, air conditioning & airfield ground lighting systems
- Carry out routine maintenance on itemsin close 1 above
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports of routine maintenance, repairs, and serviceability levels
- Provide technical guidance to subordinates through theoretical instructions and practical demonstrations on trouble shooting and rectification of complicated faults to improve practical skills and quality of repairs
- Ensure 100% adherence to all QMS requirements
Qualification
- Grade 12 with 5 O’ Level credits or better including English, Mathematics and Science
- Diploma in Electrical or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
- Computer Literate
Experience
- 2 years industrial exposure
- Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
