The job holder is responsible for coordinating the activities in the stores to ensure that the best store keeping principals are used for the organization to achieve the best value.
Key Performance Areas
- Inspecting goods receipt to ensure that the quality specified on the order is upheld (GRN).
- Revising re-order levels in line with the consumption pattern.
- Assisting in identifying common user items to enhance variety reduction.
- Ensuring that goods are only issued on a duly authorised store requisition note.
- Ensuring that stock is protected from pilferage.
- Coordinating the periodical stock check exercise.
- Regulating the issuance of goods to avoid wastage.
- Identifying redundant and obsolete materials.
- Recommending disposal of obsolete and redundant materials.
- Ensuring that stock items are well stacked and the store house is kept clean.
- Keeping an accurate record of all materials in the store house.
- Compiling monthly and quarterly stores reports for submission to management.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 O’ level credits or better including English and Mathematics
- Full CIPS qualification or degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years practical experience
